Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. Her reporting of the ineffective responses of police officers in response to DUI instances in Charleston led to an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell was then employed by the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. O'Dell, in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's been a reporter for the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
